Welcome to my new blog.

Welcome to the 2nd phase blog. 

This is where i intend to document my JOURNEY AND share all the ups and downs of trying to become a professional automotive photographer. i will be as open and honest as i can, leaving no stone UNTURNED, EACH month ill be sharing with you what ive been up to, whats coming up the challenges i face and how i intend to overcome them.

You join me in my early forties, at the end of a 20 year career in motion graphic design where i founded and creatively directed an amazingly talented bunch of wonderful people creating animations for major brands all around the world. ive quite literally gone from being at the top of the tree surrounded by talent andf top tier clients to the very bottom all on me own with a camera and a dream. i dont know if this will work, its a massive punt but i love photography and i love cars and i have some time to give this full throttle so thats what i intend to do.

if i dont try this now then i probably never will.
 
 in this blog i will document my journey from now, day zero, to WHEREVER this ends up and hopefully provide some insight into what it takes to have a go at achieving a dream, and specifically one as a photographer.

the image that got me thinking “maybe i could do this”.

ok so, currently, where are we? 

well i have zero contacts, zero leads and zero idea of how to get either of these things. however, i do have a camera, a couple of lenses, and a car and somehow i reckon thats all i need to get things started.

i need to shoot that car untill i know every angle, and have exhausted every local location and then, i need to travel and shoot it some more. 
 
 i need practise and i need a portfolio and this feels like the best way to achieve that under my own pace. it’s a start and we gotta start somewhere.
